Mission: Unfinished

Guys, I have a problem! Over the last year a few unfinished books have found their way onto my shelf and, well I picked them up some point and didn’t finish them (for different reasons) and now they’re sitting there just calling to finally be read.

Well, yeah I just could pick them up and finally read them, but I thought why not share it with you guys and maybe some of you would like to join me. If anyone of you has an unfinished book on waiting on their shelf I encourage you to pick it up. I thought I would start reading some of my unfinished book in the beginning of April or something like around that time, so let me know if you are interested in maybe finishing these books all at the same time?

And here are the books:

  • Monument 14 by Emmy Laybourne
  • The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
  • City of Aches by Cassandra Clare
  • I am the Messenger by Markus Zuzak
  • The Shock of the Fall by Nathan Filer

I guess (and hope) these are all the books, but I may be missing some!šŸ˜‚šŸ˜…

Let me know your unfinished books and if you would be interested in finishing them at kind of the same point!

Have a great day!ā€ā€

  1. the song of achilles is slow at the beginning but it does pick up for sure! it’ll leave you heartbroken at the end though. the main unfinished book i have is Days of Blood & Starlight which I started about a year ago but haven’t picked up since

  2. Didn’t read anything from your unfinished list, but I do plan on getting to The Song of Achilles eventually (I hope to get it by the time I go to Greece for my vacation because when in Greece.. haha). I do indeed have some unfinished business when it comes to books, but most of the time I just make myself read it if I bought it, in respect to my spent money lol. Once it took me 6 months to read a book because it was damn boring but I bought it so I was like ‘you gotta read it’ to myself. But!! There’s one book I own that I left in half because I couldn’t. The thing is, I saw it on one of Jared Leto’s (one of my fave humans btw) pictures so I was curious what he reads and I googled it, summary sounded cool, ancient Egypt and time travel being mentioned so I was like damn son, this is something I’d read. I spent more than a year looking for that book here, it’s not translated to my language ofc, but it was translated to Croatian (which is similar to Serbian so I understand it) in the 80s but ofc my library wouldn’t have it. Finally, after long search I found version in English in one store and bought it, it was damn expensive because it’s well, in English. I was dragging it for months and there wasn’t even a mention of ancient Egypt and I read like half of it. I was literally like JARED I TRUSTED YOU (the funny thing, when I met him in Paris I had the book with me, in my room tho not at the meet and greet lol, but how it didn’t occur to me to bring it and slap his fine ass with it because the book sucks lol). Anyway that’s the only book on my shelf that’s left in half, and tbh if I took it now to finish it I probably wouldn’t have an idea what’s going on because I left it somewhere in 2013. so I’d probably have to read it again but I’m not sure I’m ready.
Tho there’s a list of books I borrowed from the library or someone that I gave up, I don’t even remember all the titles, one was about Atlantis by some Serbian author, I was always in love with Atlantis and looking for books about it, found this one in the library and it was something so random I gave up. Other was about Tutankhamun that also wasn’t as I imagined when I picked it up so I gave up on that too. And this last one I gave up on was Bukowski’s Tales of Ordinary Madness that I borrowed from my aunt, it was random and I had no idea what I’m reading so I gave up. Holy shit, sorry for this long post I really don’t know how to shut up haha šŸ˜€

    1. Hahah, no Jared!šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
Yeah, that’s exactly why I want to finish them, I mean I bought them and else it would have been a waste of money and some of the books may turn out to be new favourites(who knows!).
