Top Ten Tuesday – Books I Picked Up On A Whim

Hi guys, today’s TTT , a meme by The Broke and the Bookish is about those books I picked up without really hearing others talk about. Usually I tend to buy and read books I hear lots of great things about, but I have a small amount of books I bought and read before I even was in this community.

1. All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. I bought this book at the airport on my flight to Thailand and I didn’t know anything about it. I read the back and thought this one would be nice to read, since I hadn’t brought any books with me for my vacation.

2. Divergent by Veronica Roth. Again, I wasn’t in the book community as I read this book. I watched the film and heard that there was a book to it, so I decided to pick it up.

3. The Shock of the Fall by Nathan Filer. I picked this book up only because of its cover, however I tried to read it during a reading slump and it didn’t really work but I’ll definitely give this one another chance.

Well, these are all the books I bought without really having heard anything about them. I know these aren’t a lot, but I don’t mind it. What I love most about the book community is that you can read and talk about books others have read too and I don’t think it’s a bad thing to consider recommendations and jump on the band wagon.
